Is the gold coin hidden?
The actual treasure box hidden in the woods does not contain the gold coin. It contains a proxy in the way of a coded message that must be accurately entered into the website clue page. This ensures that the prize is not accidentally found by a non-hunter or destroyed by nature. But yes, the actual coin is hidden away in a bank safety deposit box for extra safe keeping.
What are the types of clues?
This treasure hunt is made up of 3 progressive clue sets. Solving the first clue set opens the second clue set, and solving it leads to the third clue set. The clue sets can contain poems, riddles, ciphers and maps.
Can I start from home?
Yes, the opening stages are solved from home. Most of the clues and ciphers can be solved from home. The final stage requires an in-person visit to the site to recover the treasure box and the proxy code contained within it.
Do I need to be an expert?
